CY2022 ORYX Requirements for [HAP PSYCH] Freestanding Psychiatric Hospitals
How are [HAP PSYCH] Freestanding Psychiatric Hospitals defined as it relates to ORYX Requirements?
HAP PSYCH are defined as a "Freestanding" Psychiatric Facility licensed and separately accredited as freestanding psychiatric hospital; it is not a unit within a hospital that is surveyed at the same time as the hospitals and shares an HCO ID #.
For The Joint Commission, ORYX performance measurement requirements are specifically applicable to organizations accredited under the Hospital Accreditation Program (HAP).
Chart-abstracted measures are submitted for all four (4) quarters unless otherwise noted.
In order to meet ORYX requirements, submitted measures must be applicable to patient population/services offered.
